Toronto-based flautist Jef Kearns delivers a cinematic, shadow-drenched take on the Eurythmics classic “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).” But this isn’t just a cover. It’s a resurrection. While the iconic synth line remains, it’s re-imagined with grit, restraint, and razor-sharp energy. The result is bold, emotional, and entirely his own.
What truly sets Kearns apart, however, is the way he brings rare lead energy to the flute. He doesn’t simply play it. He summons it, like a prophet whispering secrets through a chrome ghost.
